The following steps will help you install and customize themes.

1. Go to Themes
From the Admin bar going across the top of the website, select System, then from the dropdown menu click Themes.
2. Select a Theme
Select any available theme and click the Preview & Customize button. After the theme fully loads, the preview pane appears to the left and you will either see a palette pane or customize pane is to the right, depending on each theme's options.
3. Select a Palette
If the theme has palettes, select one of the palettes to get started. Next, click the Customize link to begin modifying the palette. If you would like to select a different palette, click the Change link.
Items listed below may vary depending on the theme selected.
Changes the color of an element including fonts, accent color, or button colors.
Click on the color selector and from the rainbow bar at the right select the rough color. In the large color square on the left side, select the shade. Alternately, the hexadecimal color code may be entered in the field located in the bottom right corner.Click and drag in the color selector boxes for finer control.Upload Image
The Upload button allows for an image to be selected from your desktop. Or, drag and drop an image into the image box.
Crop an Image
The loaded image can be cropped to display in large, desktop, tablet, and mobile views.

Title Boxes, Description Boxes, Slogans, and Captions
These fields allow descriptive words to display in various areas of the new theme. The preview pane displays the current text. Click the Update Preview button to refresh the preview.
Allows for an element of the theme to link to any page, module, document, or website.
- Link to an article or page using the short-cut article/x (x is the article number)
- Link to a module using the module's short URL = name.php ("name" should be replaced with the title of the module such as prayer.php, gallery.php, calendar.php, or podcastlist.php)
- Link to a document = site/1/docs/file_name.pdf (in this example the "file_name.pdf" file was uploaded to the docs folder)
- Link to another website using a full web address/URL
Feature Links open to the Add Feature page where you can add or replace images for the set you choose to edit.

Carousel Links open to the Add Carousel page where you can add or replace images, text, or links for the set you choose to edit.

5. Update Preview - Cancel, Save, Publish
Publishing a new theme will delete and remove the Template Customization page. We are not able to revert the website back to the legacy themes.Click Update preview to see the changes and to gain access to the Cancel, Save, and Publish buttons.
Clicking this button will update the preview pane and will also reveal another set of buttons.
If you made changes:
Cancel will abandon all changes and return to the list of installed and available themes.
Click Save to keep the changes to the theme and return to continue modifying the theme at a later time.
Click Publish if you made changes to the theme and want to publish it for the world to see your design.
If the theme is Published (theme is live and the world can see the design), the following buttons will appear.
Clicking on Cancel will abandon all changes and return to the list of installed and available themes.
Click Publish to apply the changes to the live theme.
6. Advanced Options
Selected themes feature additional links to display in the header or footer.
